Wall of Voodoo

Wall of Voodoo were an American rock band from Los Angeles. Their biggest hit was "Mexican Radio", which was released in 1983. Their music was a combination of new wave synthesizers and the spaghetti western sound track style of Ennio Morricone. The song remained a favorite for years. However, they recently disbanded, and their music can be hard to find today.

The band began performing in 1977, in Los Angeles, California. The members of the group were Marc Moreland and Stan Ridgway, a synth player and guitarist. In 1976, they formed a music production company called Acme Soundtracks, which specialized in "off-kilter" scores. In the same year, they began touring, and in 1989, they released their first album, Happy Planet.

The band broke up in 1992, and members left the band in a dispute over the name. They decided to split in 1989. The group's first album was a collaboration with The Residents. The band played a show at the Perkins Palace in Pasadena on Halloween 1982. They were joined by keyboardist Bill Noland soon after the release of their debut album. The band's first tour was a success.

Before releasing a new album, Wall of Voodoo decided to go for a change of pace. With a new singer, Andy Prieboy, and drummer Joe Nanini, the band attempted to rethink their sound. The result is an uneven record, but it features two standout tracks. Ring of Fire is droning and bears little resemblance to the Johnny Cash original. While "Big City" has a bouncy, upbeat tempo, it doesn't quite reach the heights of their predecessors.

Wall of Voodoo's name is derived from the French word meaning "fear". The term is used to describe a group of people who have no fear of the dark. The members of Wall of Voodoo are a gang of shamanists. As a group, they are known as "fearless". Throughout their career, they have managed to achieve the same goal as their rivals.

After the release of their debut album, Wall of Voodoo had changed lineups. In 1985, the band added drummer Joe Nanini and singer Andy Prieboy. During the first tour, the band opened for The Residents. They performed at the Perkins Palace in Pasadena in early summer of 1982. Eventually, the band broke up, but continued to play concerts and record.

The band's newest line-up included a new singer named Andy Prieboy. The three musicians were at odds for some time, but their differences in the vision of the band helped them cement their place in the music industry. By 1982, Wall of Voodoo had finally achieved this goal. After two years, they released the second album. Sadly, the remaining members left the band in 1988.

The band's success grew as a result of their success with their debut album, "Call of the West." The band's debut album, Call of the West, has remained in the top 100 charts, and is one of the band's best-selling albums of all time. It's also one of the few albums that featured the band's most influential singer. With this new sound, Wall of Voodoo has managed to make a name for themselves in the music industry.

After a series of EPs and a 'Seven Days in Sammystown' EP, the band's self-titled album was released in 1980. The album's first single, "The Wall of Sammystown," was real voodoo spells in 1981 and reached the ARIA Top 100. This was the band's most successful album. Despite their short-lived start, the group still continues to release excellent albums.

The Wall of Voodoo's self-titled EP was released in 1980 and quickly became a hit. The album was a huge success, and its title song, "Mexican Radio," has become one of the band's most popular songs. This rock band's music is reminiscent of the New Wave movement from the '70s and early '80s, and the members of the group are a bit eccentric.

After the band's breakout hit "Mexican Radio", the band's lineup splintered in 1983. The band was reformed with the addition of keyboardist Chas Gray, percussionist/drummer Joe Nanini, and guitarist John Ridgway. In addition to Ridgway, the band's lead singer, Steve Bruin, also joined the band.
